Terms of Service

By accessing or using MyBusinessTree ("the Platform"), operated by MyBasic LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, business owners, and any other individuals who access or use MyBusinessTree, as well as related services including MyBusiness Empire, QR Smart Links, and Empire Chain.

Account registration and authentication are managed through Clerk, our third-party identity provider. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

MyBusinessTree offers free and paid subscription tiers for business owners. All payment processing is handled by Stripe.

• Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@mybusinesstree.com for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

You agree not to:

• Submit fake, misleading, or fraudulent reviews.
• Attempt to manipulate PoP (Proof of Personhood) scores through artificial means.
• Make fraudulent business ownership claims or impersonate businesses.
• Engage in review bombing, coordinated fake review campaigns, or any form of platform manipulation.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Platform without authorization.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

Violations of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and fraudulent activity will be permanently recorded on Empire Chain.

Business owners may claim and manage their business listings on MyBusinessTree. By creating or claiming a listing, you represent and warrant that:

• You are authorized to act on behalf of the business.
• All information provided is accurate and up to date.
• You will maintain the accuracy of your listing information.

We reserve the right to verify business ownership through our claiming process and to remove or suspend listings that contain inaccurate or misleading information.

Reviews are a cornerstone of MyBusinessTree. By submitting a review, you agree to the following:

• Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience with the business.
• Reviews carry different verification levels (Stripe-verified, QR-verified, business-confirmed, or unverified), which affect their weight on the platform.
• All reviews are subject to analysis by The Shield, our AI-powered fraud detection system, which may reduce or flag reviews that exhibit suspicious patterns.
• Once submitted, reviews are recorded on Empire Chain and become part of the permanent blockchain record.

MyBusinessTree uses Empire Chain, a custom blockchain with SHA-256 hashing, to create permanent, tamper-proof records of platform activity.

The PoP (Proof of Personhood) score is a reputation metric that reflects your verified interactions on the Platform. Key principles:

• Earned, never purchased. PoP scores cannot be bought, transferred, or artificially inflated. They are the result of genuine, verified human interactions.
• Proof of Personhood verification. PoP is built on the principle that only real humans can earn trust — through real payments, physical visits, and consistent long-term behavior that AI cannot replicate.
• Dynamic. Your score may increase or decrease based on your behavior and the outcome of Shield analysis.

Any attempt to manipulate or game your PoP score is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

All content, features, and functionality of MyBusinessTree — including but not limited to the website design, text, graphics, logos, Empire Chain technology, The Shield system, PoP scoring algorithms, and software — are owned by MyBasic LLC and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as reviews and business descriptions), but you grant MyBasic LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform and in connection with our services.

MyBusiness Empire is a business simulation game integrated with the MyBusinessTree ecosystem. By participating in MyBusiness Empire, you acknowledge:

• All virtual currency, tokens, or in-game assets within MyBusiness Empire have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.
• Game scenarios may contribute to your PoP score through verified completion of judgment-based redemption scenarios.
• We reserve the right to modify game mechanics, rewards, and features at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyBasic LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Platform, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@mybusinesstree.com. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but blockchain records on Empire Chain will remain permanent.
